We all want our wedding cake to be unique, memorable, and a true expression of our own personality. However, no one can deny that unique elements are often imitated and these imitations ultimately lead to new trends. Creating or following a trend is not in and of itself a "bad" thing. In fact, identifying a trendy element and modifying it enough to make it your own will indeed take a tried and true idea and turn it into something wonderfully new and special.
